“ Fantastic Izakaya in a lesser known area of Tokyo. The ladies were so welcoming and patient for a confused foreigner. It was easy to order and pay by card. Great food, great drink, and perfect staff! ”

“ All of the grilled dishes wrapped in pork belly were delicious. The stewed offal is recommended. It was also served as an appetizer. They also recommended sake that goes well with the food. I'd like to go again. ”

“ The master chef's new menu, the Tung Gyu Beef Motsunabe course, is amazing! With all-you-can-drink, you can enjoy everything from fresh fish to the specialty vegetable skewers, a real treat!!! Yamaya Kitchen @ Isezakicho, Isezakicho 7-chome, is an izakaya where you can enjoy carefully prepared dishes by the mountain-loving owner. Their specialty is yakitori and a wide variety of vegetable pork skewers, but apparently they launched the "Tung Gyu Beef Motsunabe" at the end of the year, so we returned to enjoy it! The menu we ordered is as follows: Two-hour all-you-can-drink course with gout motsunabe ¥7,000 *One serving of gout motsunabe is ¥2,970 *Single orders are available for two people, starting from one person!!! We started with a platter of four appetizers: smoked daikon radish with mascarpone cheese, blanched chijimina greens, dried persimmon wrapped in prosciutto, and minced green peppers. All of these are perfect snacks to go with your drink. The draft beer was gone in no time. The two-piece sashimi platter consisted of red shrimp and medium fatty tuna. I confirmed on my first visit that the sashimi was incredibly fresh and delicious. The chef is the best! The most popular item, the famous plump shrimp spring rolls, were consistently plump and delicious. The Yamaya salad, which came with a side platter, featured delicious, bouncy chicken thigh char siu. It was also great to see the generous amount of lettuce, even though leafy vegetables have become so expensive. The two vegetable rolls were the garland chrysanthemum pork roll, which I ate last time and swooned over, and the myoga pork roll with miso as a secret ingredient. Both were incredibly delicious, showcasing the master's skill. Finally, the vented motsunabe arrived! The base was a spicy miso soup. It contained a generous amount of beef offal, oysters, monkfish liver, and, topped with shirako (milt). The rich, spicy miso soup had a refined flavor that was easy to gulp down. The delicious flavors of large cuts of beef offal and seafood blended together, and my wife and I fought over the soup. For the final dish, we had a choice of rice porridge or champon noodles, and we chose mochi no ron and champon noodles. The rich, flavorful soup was a perfect match with the champon noodles, and we couldn't stop slurping. This motsunabe-based broth is rare in Yokohama, and I highly recommend it!!! Thank you for the meal!!! ”

“ It's not your typical pub, but rather has the atmosphere of an elegant, grown-up restaurant! However, it wasn't too intimidating and I was able to just drop in! It's not that big, with just tables and a counter, but it has a relaxing, homey feel. The staff were polite and efficient, and the service was quick and amazing! There were a variety of dishes available, including skewers, a la carte dishes, and hot pot, and all were delicious and very satisfying! They also had craft beer for drinks, and above all, they had a wide selection of sake, and they even gave me recommendations, which was great! ”
